Along the way we learn of the drama playing out in their own individual lives. Her own family interactions come out through the planning she, Mary, Patricia, and Claire are doing for their parents’ thirtieth anniversary party. Her relationships with her sisters, her avoidance-loving mother, and her alcoholic father. Anne’s subjection to her mother-in-law’s machinations. While there was a nice pull of erotica, most of the story was involved in family. Her mother-in-law was in desperate need of a putdown.
I did like that Anne finally found her balls *ahem* so to speak. A warm, homey, erotic romance…who knew? I did enjoy this, although I would have preferred that it had ended on a more definite note. This is the first erotic romance I’ve read that is about a regular suburban family with in-law issues and somewhat normal dysfunctional families. Other books by this author which I have reviewed include Precious and Fragile Things, Broken, Three to Tango, The Space Between Us, Vanilla, Naked, An Erotic Collection Volume 1įirst in the Alex Kennedy erotica romance series.
